Merge, split, or organize: which PDF edit do you want?

These three tools sit next to each other and people tap the wrong one. The difference is what you want in your hand at the end.

Merge

You have two or more PDFs and want one file. Order matters: put the cover first. Page sizes can stay mixed. Password-protected parts have to be unlocked first.

Split

You have one PDF and want pieces: one page for an invoice, or a range for a chapter. You walk away with multiple files, not one shuffled book.

Organize

You want one PDF, but the pages are in the wrong order, upside down, or include a blank you should drop. Thumbnails help. This is not the same as zip, which only packs files together without changing pages.
