How PowerPoint to PDF works
PPT to PDF turns a .pptx deck into one PDF, usually one slide per page. That is the file to send when you do not want the deck edited.
Animations and presenter notes are not a PDF feature. The PDF is the slides as pages.
Steps
- Drop a .pptx file.
- Download the PDF.
- Flip through the first, middle, and last slides.
- Keep the PowerPoint file if you still need to present with animations.
Limits
Embedded video and some SmartArt will not play or may flatten. Old .ppt files should be saved as .pptx first.
Slides, frozen
Use .pptx. The PDF is a still copy of the slides. Click animations and speaker notes do not play from the PDF.
Check a slide that has a full-bleed image and one that has a small caption. Those are the two that most often clip.
