How Scan to PDF works

Scan to PDF uses the camera on this device to capture pages and save them as a PDF. It is for a letter, a receipt, or a form on the desk in front of you.

Hold the phone steady and fill the frame. A dark or tilted shot stays dark or tilted in the PDF.

Steps

1. Allow the camera when the browser asks.
2. Capture each page in order.
3. Download the PDF.
4. Run OCR if you need the words to be selectable.

Limits

The browser must support camera capture. A desktop without a camera cannot scan.

A camera roll is not OCR

Scan to PDF turns the camera or the photos you drop into PDF pages. It does not read the words. The pages are images.

Fill the frame, avoid glare, and shoot straight down. Then run OCR if you need text, and only for printed English.
