How Watermark PDF works
Watermark PDF stamps text across the pages, such as DRAFT or a company name. The stamp is part of the new PDF.
It is a visual mark, not a security control. Someone can still crop or cover it in another editor.
Steps
- Drop the PDF and type the watermark words.
- Apply it and download the file.
- Check the first page and a middle page for placement.
- Keep an unmarked copy if you might need a clean original.
Limits
A watermark will not stop copying, and it is not a digital signature.
Text stamped on every page
The words you type are drawn across each page. They sit on top of the content. They are not a hidden permission flag.
Short labels such as DRAFT or a surname stay readable. A long sentence becomes a band of text. Check the first and last page.
